Graphic Design Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for professional graphic designers and non-designers trying to do their own graphic design. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I have created a email and sent it to them and now it says the following error message.

Adobe Reader could not open 'Josh.pdf' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded).

How do I re-send it? This solution - http://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/kb/cannot-open-pdf-file-acrobat.html doesn't make sense because I've already saved it that way. Is there anything I've missed?

This question is off topic here but may be a good fit on SuperUser. I tried searching for similar questions there but didn't know enough about your particular situation to know if any questions there are helpful or not. Either way, you may want to refine your question (with details like how you are creating the original email and sending it) and ask it there. – Farray Oct 19 '12 at 0:48

Many email servers view .pdf files as executable files. Therefore they scan them for viruses. It's not uncommon for this scan to damage the pdf. If the original PDF is fine on your system, and the emailed PDF is bad, this would be the reason. The only real solution would be to .zip the PDF before sending it or check your email preferences. You might also want to improve your accept rate here if at all possible. – Scott Oct 19 '12 at 0:48
