Looking for a book or video tutorials on iPhone/iPad design. I have one on architecture and what makes a good design, but I need one that shows you how to create the graphics.

I need step-by-step instructions, e.g:

  1. Lets make an iPhone app.
  2. Open Photoshop create new file that fits the iPhone dimensions
  3. Create a background color both in 1x and 2x
  4. Create a gradient nav bar background like so... both in 1x and 2x.
  5. Lets create a nav button with gradient and icon both in 1x and 2x. .... .... .. Now lets export the entire design in 1x and 2x.

I am not looking for design theory, nor how to use Photoshop, nor anything to do with coding an iOS app.

"how to create the graphics" is as vague as you could ask when it comes to GUI. Do you want to know the file format? Or the entire process from concept, wireframing, testing, mockup to supplying the files to a developer and in what format? – KMSTR Oct 21 '12 at 20:01

Worst suggestion ever. I need a specific book or video tutorial on iOS only. I don't need theory or how to use photoshop, I got that down. I need tutorial (e.g. Lets design an entire iPhone app in photoshop. Lets start with dimensions... ok lets make a custom navbar... ok lets make a custom tableviewcell design, ok lets make a custom slider button, ok now lets make a great background.... etc. – jgervin Oct 23 '12 at 14:31

"Worst suggestion EVER because of "theory or how to use photoshop"? I am not sure you know what the book is about. And you did ask for the entire process, no need to be rude if people point out thinks you "got down" already. I think you have to be a lot clearer on your requirements then because as it stands you will just shoot down every suggestion. And I am sure you can google yourself for "Tutorial how to make an iOS App" so maybe also state where exactly you are having difficulties might help too. – KMSTR Oct 25 '12 at 6:59

Didn't realize it would be this difficult to get this questioned answered so I will answer it myself.
