I'm currently trying to learn to work with CMYK for printing. I'm having an issue with importing a vector image into publisher.

Specifically, my issue is that Inkscape and MS Publisher seem to respond differently to the same color code, as displayed below.

Any idea why that is / how to fix ?

It seems a MS Publisher importing issue, other applications give me the same result of Inkscape with your values (online color pickers too). What is your MS Publisher version? Have you tried to import your file in RGB mode and convert to CMYK in MS Publisher? – Paolo Gibellini Feb 6 '14 at 8:10
@PaoloGibellini It is MS Publisher 2010. I created the document and then chose CMYK mode before doing anything. – MonsieurPoivron Feb 6 '14 at 13:14
I'm not able to replicate the problem at the moment (a different version of Publisher). Is MS Publisher 2010 able to import directly SVG files or are you saving your Inkscape file in other vector format (e.g WMF)? Are the colors correct if you import the vector file leaving the default color mode in Publisher? – Paolo Gibellini Feb 6 '14 at 15:43
