I instantly recommend you to look at the website Typography for Lawyers ( http://www.typographyforlawyers.com/ ) - in particular the font recommendations http://www.typographyforlawyers.com/?p=587 )

I love that site, not just for legal typography, but a great typography resource in general. – Jin Jul 8 '11 at 13:50

There is no 'best' font for a broad industry. It comes down to what is good typography vs. not. In additions to Roger's great advice, the only other thing to note is that sometimes there's a 'required' font--typically when working with the government.

Good point. It's covered on that site, in addition to everything else. Matt Butterick has recently compiled all the sage advice on his site into a book of the same title. – Alan Gilbertson Jul 8 '11 at 21:49
