I have a scan of a B&W marker drawing that I vectorized using Vector Magic. Vector Magic makes my drawn lines an object with a fill color. To further process the image to meet my needs, I need to transform them into a single path (e.g. to use as a CutContour). For example, say if I have a rectangle. Can I turn that into a single path with a stroke around it? Only this won't be for simple rectangles, but for more complicated and curved objects.

Thanks Scott. That's pretty much what I am trying to accomplish. Although I am afraid there's not a lot of choice but to retrace the shapes with the pen tool. I was hoping to avoid that. – WebGremlin Mar 7 '14 at 0:23
