I am in the process of redesigning a website for a semi-private art museum / gallery, mostly for paintings. I am curious what museum websites (any types) that you like. I am looking for some design inspirations.

As from a design perspective, any color combination that suggests a state of being exclusive and modern. A reference / link to a live site will be useful.

Thanks beforehand.

what kind of paintings? modern? classics? – Jin Jul 10 '11 at 4:31
Paintings: modern and contemporary; same thing for the sculptures. I know this is a bit tricky without looking at the real collection. – SikuSikuCom Jul 10 '11 at 7:34
