I intend to make the first city map to a city with a miljion inhabitants. But I need help with advice and a particular technique. I have just a JPG picture from Google maps as a references and I thought use illustrator CS5.

The idea is to use the google map but change and add new streets, roads,public buildings and text to different location that is not on Google maps. If I am required by law to buy a picture of Google then I guess I have to do it.

So you want to create a Map out of paper plans like Google Maps. Illustrator might help, but its very complex and time consuming process.

Drawing every streets, paths, landmarks, areas, this is what needed to be done.

First a proper paper plan is needed then a Soft Copy!
