I am designing a website for a client, and I have no idea where to start. I have a lot of experience with web programming, but as soon as I need to actually design the front end I hit a mental block. Basically, I have been looking for a website template to give me some inspiration, but all the free templates I can find just aren't doing it. The page I need to design should have a login form in the header, and needs to be dark to sort of match the clients existing pages, but beyond that I don't know how I want it to look :(. I was just wondering if someone could give me a list of good template sites that they use for this purpose? I have taken a look at Design Basics for Programmers, but it doesn't seem to mention any good places for design inspiration. Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks beforehand!

Whenever I need design inspiration (for web, print and whatever) I visit these two sites, although they don't have free web template downloads, they will definitely inspire you to make your own :) |
