I have a DELL home PC monitor which doesn't suit my graphic design and Image Editing needs. I need a work around.

I came through two things. One a screen calibrating device (how it works, I am not sure of ) and two, a new good monitor.

Now I have searched a lot came up with DELL, HP and viewSonic series monitors and some monitor calibration devices. I am confused what to choose as I have to keep my budget and work both optimized.

I don't have a full answer for you, but I'll add only this: You probably want an IPS LED backlit display. – Marc Edwards Jul 11 '12 at 10:24
What there a question there? Without knowing the budget how can anyone help? – Scott Jul 11 '12 at 12:32

Is this for print work? You likely need both...a better monitor plus a calibration tool. – DA01 Jul 11 '12 at 14:27
It is dependent on a few factors. Firstly, what are you using the monitor for (print, web, video etc.)? Secondly, what model is your current Dell monitor? – Oliver G Jul 24 '12 at 10:32
