An independent graphic designer and instructor in InDesign, Photoshop and Dreamweaver after tiring of working for other people. I'm also a software tester for various companies and "Tier 0" tech support for friends, family, various associates and lots of clients...

comment What are some good fonts to use for bullet characters?
You pretty much covered all the usual suspects. All of the pi fonts that ship with the OSes have a collection of useful bullet-type characters, including Wingdings and its siblings/offspring.

comment Batch Resize Multiple Images in InDesign Document from Placed MS Word Content
You're welcome! An amazing number of file formats are zipped XML collections, like ePub. All of the MS Office 'x' formats are that way.

comment Export InDesign layers to Photoshop
Actually, InDesign is a fantastically useful tool for laying out web page designs. It's way underutilized by the design community, mostly because InDesign users, in general, think with print and ePub, but not so much with HTML for the web.

comment Set fonts per document
Active fonts, whether activated in the OS or via a font manager, will stay active. Fonts that aren't already activated can be made temporarily active for a document that uses them if a) the font manager supports the application or b) the application itself has the font available in a "document fonts" folder. The best way to understand how these things work is to try them out.

Think it through. Deactivating "everything else" would make document loading unbearably slow on most systems. How would the software know that you are still iterating and haven't finalized font choices yet? What happens when the customer wants to switch fonts? How does it deal with new documents? Deactivate what you don't need; activate only when needed. See my next-to-last paragraph regarding font activation per document.

comment How to make Illustrator not to lie about colors?
I understand that it is annoying when something doesn't work the way you expect, but be cautious with statements like "How professional program can be so inaccurate with colors?" The truth, as Scott's answer shows, is that professional programs require professional knowledge. Until you are expert, always assume that you made a mistake or there is something you don't know. You will learn more quickly if you do that.

Glad to help. Yes, you definitely should learn about channels in general and blend modes in particular. I've expanded my answer to give you some info on layer masks.
