comment Is there a way to create a sphere shaped paragraph in powerpoint 2013
Surely this question should include the PowerPoint version being used? Each version differs so much from each other.

comment Critique: Icon design
How about a plate with a knife and fork, shaped and positioned like a search icon? (This is a comment because it's not a critique, but a suggestion instead.)

comment What are the basic rules of “flat design”?
Nice design, I think one key point is the removal of rounded corners. I don't think I've noticed rounded corners on any good flat design, unless they were so slight that it was almost not noticeable. +1

comment Does a beard highlight or obscure the mouth area?
I appreciate your answer Scott, plenty of good points accompanied by good examples. I thought it would have more votes by now. While it's a difficult question, I figured it's a much more interesting theoretical question than most of our recent content. I wasn't looking for a blanket answer, just some guidance like you've given. :)

The question isn't do you like beards. I think its on topic. If it isn't, it'll be closed. Thanks for sharing.

comment Design software that allows reuse of common elements, like the DRY principal of programming
After mocking up with Photoshop, Illustrator, Balsamiq and plain HTML & CSS over the last two years, I to, have concluded that coding the prototype directly in browser or a code editor is the best course of action for a multitude of reasons.

comment A graphical design to generically demonstrate art as a concept
The moment I read the title I pictured a variety of differently styled empty frames. As soon as I think of art, I think of picture frames. My best suggestion at the moment, is an icon of three different portrait rectangle (or other shapes) picture frames overlapping, one ornate, one art-deco and one plain, possibly inside a larger round frame with another style. Leaving it as a comment because I don't have time to develop an example atm.

comment Web Design: Is centering a content section a good idea?
You could float the text around a 300 - 400px image. Centered text is a difficult element to balance well, and I personally find it a lot less readable. I think I'd rather have the empty space than centre the text. Another option is using the same sidebar as elsewhere and filling it with contact details and links, or something else that a user would want to have easy access to.

comment Why is pure blue darker than pure green?
As a possible anecdotal proof: when spinning my sons toy that has seemingly equal shades of red, yellow and blue around it at high speeds, it's almost impossible to notice the blue, you just see yellow-red-yellow-red - there is a gap but it's not obviously blue, just dark. Great answer, welcome to GD SE! :)

BTW you say attributes, but ask about records. They are not synonymous.

comment What Icon Can Be Used to Represent “Attributes”?
My point is simple and many may not agree with it: when you're asking for help and it is given, and it is relevant, give the answerer 10 arbitrary points to say thank you for the effort. There's nothing wrong with your responses, you're a nice person, I just delete 0 score answers because no one finds them helpful. Again, good luck.
