and for fancy borders I recomend the Brushes in Illustrator CS5, just apply a Brush from the brush pannel to a stroke, to make it thicker just make the stroke thicker, the one I used is one of them, but there are quite a few and many of them not bad at all. I want the whole thing to be vector so its a bit tricky looking for an apropiate stock img, not imposible though...

hmz... never thought about that. i will keep it in mind from now on before starting a project. important stuff to ask BEFORE you start something like this. it will also have a spiral binding, that might also be an issue with postal services...
