comment Illustrator: paste text without formatting
@joojaa That would be a step faster, indeed. I'm thinking about a solution with AutoHotKey, which could be probably the fastest approach: select text, then press ctrl-c (or win-c) and then the text would be cleaned in the clipboard, ready to paste. PS. I work on Windows 7.

comment Automated method of setting ideal sizes and positions of symbols or logos of various proportions, when put together (ignoring any text)
@CarlosCanto I mean making the symbols / logos sizes (ideally positions) look harmonious when placed in a row, without considering the size of the text if there is any. So none of them stands out in terms of size or position. All size transformations would keep the element's proportions. I'm currently working on such method, not 100% automatic (although but it could be), and I'll share it when it's ready. It's about automation of the process, so it would be good if I could publish it here...

Nice approach! Wasn't even aware that such search box exists :) however, it seems to be limited to only 256 characters, although in most of the caseses should be fine.

I see. It would be nice to be able to do this without that extra step...

@CarlosCanto The thing is that making them equal doesn't make them look good next to each other.

@Dom Thank you for the feedback. Yesterday and today I've been developing a method that is half-automatic (could be almost fully-automatic) and pretty effective. I'm happy tho share it together with a script that I'm going to write. I can modify the question title and content to stres the automation of that process, which is actually the most important to me, as (as I mentined in the first sentence) I spend too much time on "eyeballing".

comment How do I convert a .png blurred background into a compressed .jpg one without introducing artefacts?
I can see some color change in my image... I guess that's something about color profiles as this method shouldn't affect the artwork's color.

comment How to change colour of all elements of a group, at once, in Illustrator
Thank you for that @Scott. I guess to use another object's colour I would have to add its colour to swatch library first.

comment How to change colour of all elements of a group, at once, in Illustrator
Thank you very much @Scott. Very powerful technique. It seems that if you want to apply the same colour as another object you can include it in the objects "pool" and drag it's colour swatch into the New color box. This way could be a little bit tricky if there are many similar colours in the pool. I'm not sure how to guarantee that the new colour I want to apply is the same as of my source (if I don't want to input the colour values)... PS. I don't have enough reputation yet to upvote answers.

Thanks again @Lollero. I'm sorry if my question was too confusing. I found already that the Direct Selection Tool mentioned by you is one of the ways (if you be so kind to update your answer I will accept it). I found the source of the problem and will post it in few hours (when I'm allowed). The "circle in the layer" technique didn't work in case of my object. It is a very good advice to use global swatches right from the beginning.

Thank you very much @Lollero. I learned quite a very useful technique. However my problem was slightly different: I couldn't apply a swatch to all sub-objects at once.

comment How can I set Photoshop default unit for free transfom?
Similar with me, I also tied to find the way, but with no success. Very often I need to measure the size of objects and each time I restart Photoshop the units change back to %, which is not useful at all for me. I thought there could be some configuration file that I could edit, but I couldn't find anything like that. Anyway thank you for the right-click trick - helps a bit.
