yes this is generally what i'm confused about. if the same formula is used, different people will essentially generate the exact same image, and that image is copyrighted by multiple people...

@Sean I'm not sure how does it apply here. Afterall, if sin(1/z) is the "idea" and not the "expression", then with that "idea" anyone would derive the same and equal "expression"
