Convert OpenType (PostScript flavor) to OpenType (TrueType flavor) What have you done so far in pursuit of this goal — a goal that may or may not turn out to be the jackalope of font-file esoterica? Also, do you have FontLab, and/or the wherewithall to install and subsequently do battle with the GUI of [fontforge.org](fontforge)? I ask so I know how to best answer; best of luck either way. |

Perceptual colour space as working space An excellent answer that clarifies a frequent misconception. I would only add the fact that, in the parlance of color management, use of the word "perceptual" is nearly always in reference to the perceptual rendering intent -- one of the four rendering intents described in the ICC spec: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Color_management#Rendering_intent |

Choosing colors that work well on projectors IT IS TRUE! The only decent projectors are the old 3-gun tube projectors, for which black is an actual absence of light (vs. an darkened LCD pixel with light behind lit, which is what you get from anything short of what you might find in a megaplex) -- but those [the old tube models] are each about the size of a fridge. So yeah, DA01 is right, you are left with crapola. |

How do I make screenshots look good when printed in CMYK? +1 for "For desktop printing, ignore CMYK" ... can't be overstated. Alan's answer should be read by all ... Relatedly, expensive CMYK RIP software is a ripoff, unless you're doing some serious soft-proofing for a specific press. |

What is the difference between CMYK and RGB? Are there other color spaces I should know? +1 for munsell (which is a good place to start, to clarify things)... I would add that HSV 'space' is more like a strategic warping of RGB; tristimulus values can be losslessly transformed between RGB and HSV. But if you like HSV, you'll loooove CIE-1976 L*a*b* (see the answer above on L*a*b* for more). |

What is the difference between CMYK and RGB? Are there other color spaces I should know? +1 for CIELAB. I would add this: hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/hbase/vision/cie1976.html |
