comment Where can I find the best vectorization tutorial for a newbie?
Thanks for the link. I don't completely agree though. I am trying to avoid general Illustrator tutorials which cover a lot of material and just try to find tutorials on the tools & techniques needed for vectorization only.

I agree with most of your points, but I also use GIF for simple illustations/diagrams with few colours/no gradients as they result in smaller file size and a sharper look than JPEG.
