Photoshop curved Shadow To make shadow even more realistic, you should create an alpha channel with a gradient black on sides and white on centre and then rather use Lens Blur. This will make shadow more realistic ba visually blurring more at the middle (because as it seem the object is rased more at centre than sides) and almost no blur on edges (object lays down) |

Using CamelCase in a logo Camel case doesn't start with an upper case letter but rather with a lower case so it would be correctyl camelCase and not CamelCase. The latter is called PascalCase |

Can digital presses print right up to the edge of a sheet? @e100: Yes inkjets can print to the edge of physical paper sheet. I have one that does. And yes some ink gets wasted/printed over the edge of paper to achieve it. |

How to get this design in photoshop? This one actually isn't really realistic, because shadows tend to get sharper when close to original object. In the upper example that's not the case. |

Can digital presses print right up to the edge of a sheet? I know that. Maybe I wasn't clear enough. Is it possible to print to the actual paper edge. Not bleeding and then crop results. |

Scanning line art for press Thank you Philip. I've scanned halftoned colour images. I wouldn't scan them at 1200dpi anyway. Art I'm scanning has obviously been either vectorised and printed or has been hand drawn and scanned at very high resolution because it definitely looks like vector art. Organic shapes on the other hand tell me it was originally hand drawn. |

Scanning line art for press Oh you mean convert to BW-only bitmap with a particular threshold level. Ok. Fair enough. But the question is more about resolution... What resolution should be sufficient? Let me emphasize that in my question. |
