Do you use colour lasers for proof printing? @MikeNGarrett: Good point. Will do that as well. |

Do you use colour lasers for proof printing? @MikeNGarrett: they probably use some expensive printer (if at all) because of their higher duty nature of work. I suppose. And that wouldn't really help. It's like asking them which scanner to buy when they use a drum scanner. |

Logo design and text placement Not maybe so if you're from United Arab Emirates. :) Basically whenever you're in left-to-right area the more prominent part should be placed left. |

How important is the visual flow of an interface? Exactly. What is a leading line? Are you talking about headlines or anything else? Are you asking about leading which is basically line height? |

Is it possible to tell from a printed sample what software/layout algorithm was used? @Charles Stewart: Why would you need such information? I don't think there's anything that would set things apart so dramatically between different layout design software that you could tell for certain. It's usually easier to tell when some designer has done their job because of their particular design/layout approach. |

Why do we still use points as a measurement of type size? @e100: As you stated yourself: fractions... Isn't it better to express something in whole numbers than fractions? Isn't it better to say 10mm than 0.01m? |
