comment Is there any decent way to layout three 16:9 images on a 16:9 frame?
@nmu No problem. Another thing came to mind. A more entry level solution might be collage apps. Such as Fotor. It's available pretty much on every platform, even inside a browser.

Maybe there are exporting scripts for sketch that do what you want.

comment Lasso tool: select only visible pixels
So yea, to answer the question. I would totally clipping mask that. The reason is the one I commented on above. Here's an example of that. The first circle is where I do what you want to do and the second circle is where I use clipping mask. Example is in a gif format, so keep that in mind.

The unclarity of the question comes from the fact that in most situations these transparent pixels in the selection are irrelevant. What you want to do with the selection is super important. See, if you'd want to fill it with color, the best method would probably be to just fill that selection as it is and Clipping mask that with the layer below. That way the edge stays perfect. If however you make that selection, where it follows the outer edge of the leg, and fill it with color you'd end up with some color leaking from below or at least some oddities...

It's still a bit unclear to me why the transparent pixels would be a problem, as they are transparent. The selection in your example could be done by: First Ctrl or Cmd clicking the layer thumbnail to make a selection off of it and then using Rectangular marquee tool with Alt pressed down to contract the selection.. --- To get back to my confusion... If you move, scale, cut the image, the transparent pixels are basically ignored. Which is why I'm having hard time understanding why this would be an issue?

Could you maybe explain a bit more about what you're trying to do?

comment Work off files locally and then upload to Adobe Creative Cloud?
I'd say this is related to graphic design. It's not a "design" question, but does it have to be? It's totally related to graphic design, just like this question for example: graphicdesign.stackexchange.com/questions/27539/… and it's just as opinion based too.

I believe you can see that info at the bottom of the application window.

@Imray Adobe moved a lot of these types of features over to Bridge. Here's a video on that: m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=YARpPyiNX5M

If you click the empty box on the left side of "perpective warp" in the actions list, it will stop there and wait for user input.

comment Is math needed for graphic design?
When I was 14, I sucked at math. When I was just a minute ago... I still sucked at math. By the way, I find this question a bit odd and surprising, because most often people seem to be worried about their drawing skills, when they dream of becoming a graphic designer.

comment Is it possible to have multiple blend modes on a single layer in Photoshop?
Also, similar to changing the tool blend mode, you can also duplicate layers and use different blend modes in them. If you want to avoid kind of destructive workflow, you could convert the layer to a Smart object before duplicating, and then apply the blend modes to the Smart objects. Depending on the situation, you can use Layer adjustments instead of Blend modes, to achieve similar results. The idea would be to have multiple Layer adjustments and one picture layer below them.

comment A4 portfolio as a book in photoshop. page compilation?
If you have a chance to use indesign or even illustrator, definitely go with either of them. If you don't have access to those two, you should maybe try Scribus, which is open source. Photoshop just isn't meant to produce multiple pages.

comment Changing the color of a vector created using adobe shape
When you place it into a document, it should stay selected and you should be able to just change color by double clicking the black color fill under the toolbar. I'm assuming you're talking about illustrator, since you've tagged it.
