comment Why do some fonts make I, l, 1 look the same?
@AlanGilbertson I certainly wasn't saying Arial is the only one to do this, I just couldn't ignore an opportunity to make fun of it :P. They obviously only changed the wrong things from Helvetica

Are you implying the creators of Arial were lazy?! Absurd!

comment Web font that supports some basic music symbols
Very view fonts implement more than a tiny handful of unicode symbols. Might consider some specific music fonts. I know they exist but I don't know which to recommend.

comment New generation of 'Edit' icon that is not a pencil?
The Save icon is a disc because it's a metaphor that's understood, trying to replace it (and the pencil icon) to "modernize it" misunderstands the concept.

comment How can I get the closest color word for a hex color?
That's a helpful little tool! That's closest to what I was looking for, very good to know the background of no standard color names however.

comment How can I get the closest color word for a hex color?
Well there are at least the CSS standard color names which map to color codes: w3schools.com/cssref/css_colornames.asp but it's a very limited list. I was hoping something like Wikipedia's color list could be used, but looking at that I note they're using domain specific words as well. I can't believe a good standard still doesn't exist...
