How do I create Mexican hat potential figure in Illustrator using 3D Map Art? Excellent answer. It is odd indeed how Illustrator decides how to divide up the surface. Your solution worked like a charm. I supposed for (2) I can always expand it and manually tweak the thickness of the lines. |

What is the best font for use in legal contracts? I love that site, not just for legal typography, but a great typography resource in general. |

Create a Triangle with Rounded Corners @SikuSikuCom the downside of this method is how sharp the shape end up being, is done manually still. So you have to eyeball it. Also it's not scalable since it's not vector. However one good thing about this method is that it applies to other polygon shapes too. e.g. a Hexagon with rounded corners. |

Copy & Pasting from Photoshop to Illustrator loses transparency Not an answer but an observation: I'm guessing you're rasterizing layers for copying purpose. You don't have to merge/rasterize layers. Just hit cmd+A to select all, and go to Edit->Copy Merged. This way you'll copy all the visible elements on all layers as if they were on one layer. |
