comment Color loss during colorspace conversions
Using Photoshop's "Convert Profile" interface to convert colorspaces instead of simply changing the document's color mode/settings allows you to compensate for some of these issues, including applying the dither technique you mentioned. Other options include different mapping methods (perceptual, saturation, relative colorimetric, absolute colorimetric) and black point compensation. Preserving vector objects (such as gradients and layer effects) also circumvents some of these issues.

comment How to fix buggy anti-alias font in Photoshop CS5?
Are you sure it's not just highlighted or a video buffer glitch? What happens when you save the image and re-open it? Does it still look like that? Also, only certain small-type and bitmap fonts are designed for un-AAed rendering. Arial and most fonts look horrible when aliased. I hope you're not doing this sort of thing for a professional project.

comment Is there a way to copy guides from one Photoshop document to another?
@Lauren: He's talking about modifying a configuration file for Photoshop that specifies the various presets you're presented with when you create a new document. Perhaps tbbjr can include the default location of this file in his answer to make this more clear.

comment Mockups: Coding vs Drawing?
@thebodzio: Yes, of course, that's what separation of concerns is for. But I'm not referring to coding the backend. When I say coding in terms of the designing part of the question (not the programming analogy I used to illustrate the point--I know, a bit confusing), I mean coding the mockup (CSS + HTML or whatever your UI language may be).

@DA01: You're working on code from day one, but you're still applying a top-down methodology. There's nothing in agile that says you can't plan out your data architecture or define UI-first before coding (which I think most agile firms prefer over UML, class diagrams, etc.).

comment Which graphic tablets support tilt?
I guess that's why my Intuos4 never seems to respond to pen rotation reliably. Though even its tilt function acts a little goofy. I mean, in the config tool, everything registers fine. But when I actually set a brush parameter to tilt, it never does what I expect it to.

comment Common mistakes that we make while designing for web & how to avoid them
Lots of good points, but I think the choice of agile/scrum is a subjective decision that may not fit all projects or organizations. I personally prefer agile methods whenever possible, but, particularly in graphic design, it's not always suitable.

comment Is the sharpness at 100% zoom sharp enough for Illustrator printing?
Short version: see what the physical dimensions (inches/cm) of the unaltered raster image in PS was at 150/300ppi; don't exceed those dimensions when dropped into Illustrator.
