comment CRT monitor or LED TV for graphic design needs?
@Joojaa if you've ever seen a low pixel density TV used as a monitor, then color would not be your top priority. Just seeing edges of objects clearly would be. Monitor as a TV, sure. TV as a monitor.... no way.

comment How to move guides with artboard?
Technically this isn't moving guides. This is releasing guides, moving paths, then creating guides. I know that's just semantics and this is a great solution.

Here's some info for you about the difference between resolution and pixel density in tvs: teknosrc.com/… most tvs have very low pixel density.

comment CRT monitor or LED TV for graphic design needs?
This is kind of like asking.. "tin cans and string or a cell phone?" CRT (tube) anything died in 2002... any CRT is outdated and old tech. I'd hazard a guess that 99.9% of designers are using some form of LED or LCD display today. Note that LED tvs are not designed to handle the pixel density of monitors. Many TVs fall terribly short if you try and use them as a monitor... get an actual monitor.

Have you reviewed the file requirements for the sites? Is your PPI set correctly? Color mode correct? Are dimensions correct?

Video frames to layers was needed when Adobe broke CS4, they've since fixed it and that issue is no longer present.

comment How can I save for web with 200dpi in Photoshop or Illustrator CS6?
Well first: graphicdesign.stackexchange.com/questions/13777/… Then have you tried just using "Save As"? And on screen it's PPI not DPI. DPI is for printing.

comment Workflow and tools recommendation for detailed large print and web project
But inefficiency is completely dependent upon your work. The best I could offer is plan ahead.... create layers (and/or symbols) as independent objects to allow maximum editing. Same as one should do for any project. There's no hard and fast rule about which software package to use. I'd prefer Illustrator.. that doesn't mean you have to use Illustrator.

Hi @Fallup you're really skirting what would be called "tech support" or "Brainstorming" and off topic with the edit. Yes Illustrator can handle thousands of object.. but yes, it will get slower the more objects there are. That has VERY little to do with machine hardware.. it's the nature of Illustrator.
