comment Do interfaces really need to “look good”?
If you are going to state that the MacOS is "natively incompatible" you need to also state that Windows is "natively virus prone".

comment Do interfaces really need to “look good”?
In spite of the pruning of comments the moderators seem to feel is warranted. The misinformation in this question itself makes it a bit biased and steers answers away from honest and objective areas. -- My comments were removed.. oh but look at all the other similar ones.

comment I want to make font, I have digitized the characters, how to proceed next?
What software are you using? FontLab? Fontographer? Glyph?

How can they have "both" as a "logo"?

comment What is exactly a “Pixel”?
@DA01 My interpretation of the hardware differences is in pixel density not in pixel size. But yeah, it's probably more science than I'll get into :)

comment Animating in Photoshop with transparency
Simply remove it. It's only "default" if you set it to white in the New Document window.

comment sprite css not hovering correctly
Better suited for stackoverflow.com - would appear to be an issue with incorrect measurements of the icons. The tablet icon seems to be 40px wide, not 47. (it seems jsFiddle is broken in chrome for me.. odd, that's a first.)

comment What does 8 bit alpha (PNG) mean?
Alpha refers to a mask in this instance. 8 bit.. black and white mask of the image.

comment Smooth faceting of beveled/embossed text in Adobe InDesign?
This is not something I'd do in Indesign. But have you tried using the "Smooth" Setting or "Chisel Hard" for the Technique? Or increasing the "Soften" value? Chisel hard seems like it would work.

comment Using a copyright image within my design and sell?
What you should do is explain to your client that you can not use Disney characters without Disney permission. There's no room for negotiation on that. See here: graphicdesign.stackexchange.com/questions/26844/…

comment Using a copyright image within my design and sell?
That user at Etsy could find they are in trouble. Chances are slim they'll be caught, but what they are doing is an infringement of the Disney copyrights, regardless of all their mumbjo jumbo. They are making money off the use of a copyrighted image. It is more amusing that they also try and implement some sort of copyright protection for themselves when they are clearly infringing upon others.

comment What is exactly a “Pixel”?
I'll try and be a bit more detailed in the future @plainclothes

comment What is exactly a “Pixel”?
No. A pixel is a pixel, there's no such thing as smaller or larger pixels. Pixels have no size. Higher resolutions result in larger images upon export. If an image is set at 300ppi, that's 300 pixels per inch, but at 72ppi (Mac) that's only 72 pixels per inch, or at 96ppi (Win) that's 96 pixels per inch. When exporting there is no "per inch" so pixel density is not a factor and pixels must be laid side by side in columns and vertically in rows. Naturally 300 items is going to take up more width and height than 72 or 96 items.

comment How to make gradient tool annotators snap to grid
@CircleB is correct. There's no mechanism to snap the gradient annotator to anything.

comment How can I create a tight spiral shape? (Archimedean spiral)
@Igor-G after creating and applying the artbrush, choose Object > Expand Appearance and you'll have the full spiral shape. It won't be a path, it'll be a spiral shape.

comment What price should I charge for design services?
It would be helpful if you chose a correct answer @CBallenar. That way this question could be used to direct duplicate questions here. Without a correct answer chosen, it can't be redirected to. In addition, DA01 is deserving of the answer mark.
