comment How to open .tif in color (not black and white)
If a tif file is color, then it generally opens in color. It may be due to that "trial version" designation in your screenshot. It's pretty impossible to answer this specifically without having one of these .tif files to check.

comment How can I desaturate a color in illustrator
Given the duplicate link, you can set Recolor Artwork to "global sliders" then just decreased the Saturation slider.

comment Legal status of “Star Division (c) 1995” fonts that came with Sun Office 5.2
Well that's a point of argument. The license for SunOffice never changed. There may be a separate, new, license for Open Office, but the original license hasn't changed. Just like My license for Adobe Photoshop CS6 is still in tact and valid, even though I have a separate license for Photoshop CC2015.

Licenses don't change. If you got them under a "personal use only" license.. that's what they are.. personal use only.

comment Rotring 0.6 ArtPen alternative?
I think a "good alternative" would be entirely based on who is using the pen.

comment How can we design a better Restaurant Menu?
Word is just not geared towards layout. If you want more control, you'll need a different application.

comment Adobe Illustrator - Merging Objects and Deleting the Area Inbetween
Merge often works better due to it's removal of underlying objects: graphicdesign.stackexchange.com/questions/28128/…

You can copy, paste into Word. Save, then import the Word file into InDesign retaining styles.

comment Illustrator: How do I prevent Pathfinder from creating paths with no fill and no stroke?
I don't think there's a way to be honest. I always just select same and delete after using Merge or something.

Could be part of the stroke.. can't see that from your screen shot.

comment How to merge two neighbour paths into one?
Pathfinder won't join strokes. Pathfinder only works on shapes.

comment How to merge two neighbour paths into one?
You can only join end points. There's no mechanism to join paths in the middle of the paths.

comment How to Change White to Black Inside of a Vector Image Using Photoshop
Illustrator is generally better at altering vector content created in Illustrator. You can use blending modes in Photoshop or masks, but that's about it.

comment Illustrator timelapse
I Have no idea why this would be a "last resort". It is commonly how it's done. You start recording... do whatever it is you want to do.. then stop recording and edit the video in a video production application if necessary. There are even screen recorders which allow you to edit the movie file afterwards (like ScreenFlow for the Mac).

comment How do I prevent Illustrator from creating thin strokes when I expand a pattern?
The pattern looks fine, it merely looks like it's scaled. Did you check that the pattern itself is applied at 100% to the object?
