Under whose name does an outsourced graphic designer go? If you need intermediate payments, you can require them to be included in the contract - you do not have to justify your conditions. Same goes for #2. As for #3, you are the one selling the service. No matter who does the job, you are ultimately responsible for the quality of the products and services you sell. |

Point vs Pixel. What is the difference? As a side note, pixels are not always square. If you ever produce pictures for video, note that you can have vertically rectangular pixels or horizontally rectangular pixels. Check out "pixel aspect ratio" for more details. |

Modern design - What's that? Thanks a lot. You're right, it's a lot more focused that way. |

Modern design - What's that? I am just working on the general look and feel in Inkscape. Interactivity and effects will come later. CSS3 is not fully supported (not even close) and I don't want to get into the whole hassle of fallbacks and polyfills when a small picture can provide the same effect accross all browsers (or am I missing an advantage of having a CSS drop shadow?). For the headphone girl, can you provide a link to some of the studies? I remember reading the opposite, but can't find it. |

How to accomodate different text lengths in translated web content? @user568458 Thanks. Sometimes, being a translator helps. ;) |

Free vector design app besides inkscape? OOo Draw has all the features, but on the other end it is quite primitive. |

Free vector design app besides inkscape? +1 for OOo. It fits the description. How good is Scribus these days? It's supposed to fit the bill, but I tried to work with it about a year and half ago and the bloody thing kept crashing. |

Modern design - What's that? @user568458 4-5 years progress, 7-8 years to go. Aside from the logo and the buttons, is there anything else which causes this dated feeling? Or is that it? (re: logo, I will just ditch it for now and commission one later. For the buttons, they will go through AB testing for conversion so I will see what works best then). |

Modern design - What's that? @user568458 When you say "very 2001", you mean the first one, or both? If the latest one is still dated, what makes it so? |

How is the artwork at Adobe.com created? Ah, I see what's the problem is. Adobe's website automatically redirect the query to the SEA website, which doesn't have the same UK page. Their change location dialog doesn't work, so I can't access at the page directly. Most likely your link will work fine for UK members and 404 for everybody else. Fortunately, Google cache doesn't care where I am so this works: webcache.googleusercontent.com/… |

Modern design - What's that? Thanks for the suggestions. What's a "menu-like menu"? (Your Evernote example also uses one of these older "Text links | Separated | With | Vertical bars") |
