Reduce image size in photoshop without compromising text readability You have a fundamental misapprehension of what resolution is. By resizing "while maintaining 300dpi of res" you have reduced the resolution. |

Using PhotoShop to create a magazine He didn't ask for vector, he asked about magazines. I am sure you will agree that text is virtually guaranteed, and typically font files are vector format. Unlike you I actually restricted my comment to Photoshop, so I am unsure what you are getting at with your implication that I suggested other software. As for whether I think the Photoshop software is a good choice for magazines, look up "daunting" in the dictionary. All that said, I think you covered the topic fairly well. |

Using PhotoShop to create a magazine It is possible to export/save a photoshop file in a way that preserves the vector format for text ( see for instance: graphicdesign.stackexchange.com/questions/6913 ). Doing something of magazine length in Photoshop is a daunting prospect. |

How do I create a button with two shadows in the bottom? You can code layer styles AFAIK. I agree that there are 2 shadows, One looks smaller and even possibly circular. If one codes a solution, the code can be easily replayed after the inevitable edits. |

Under whose name does an outsourced graphic designer go? Not so fast: look for "work made for hire" in that document. |

What real advantages do web templates such as Bootstrap or HTML5 boilerplate have for a designer? The ONE and ONLY killer feature that Dreamweaver has is the ability to select an arbitrary number of local files at random, arbitrary tree depth and upload them to a remote site. I have looked long and often for an FTP program with a similar treeview w/files and directories integrated which does this. |

Why are my elements moved after being exported to svg Try placing an unstyled ("invisible") rectangle (the exact dimensions and placement as the background layer object) on the same layer as the second layer. Perhaps the origin and window size of the two SVG files will then be the same. |

Never use white? Re: painting. I don't think that it is strictly true that they never use black, but rather they avoided merely tinting (shading) white with black. (I was taught to mix about equal parts burnt umber and ultramarine blue to use as "black" for admixing) |

How to beautifully incorporate tables in texts/documents Further thoughts: the typical spreadsheets-style lines for table cells are more useful for entering data than reading, it; the alternating row colors are useful for keeping place as you scan a line, but are not particularly helpful for smaller numbers of columns. |
