I enjoy playing the banjo and hunting caribou in my back yard. Every year I take a trip to the moon where I collect moon rocks to make into jewelry. When I am not doing this, sometimes I program.

comment How can I view the entire layer in Photoshop, even if part of the layer has been dragged outside the edge of the canvas?
It works, but looks like Photoshop just re sizes the canvas based on the layers. Not really the most clever way to do it, infact the performance is awful.

comment Making Photoshop render font kerning and letter spacing like a browser
Tuna, your question got me thinking like a developer: it should be technically possible to overlay a browser on top of the Photoshop artboard/canvas so that it IS actually rendering in the browser. They could call them web layers...

comment Inkscape: how to manage sets of layers
Wray, thanks for the insights. Having done a bit more research after posting my question, you're right that it's not something Inkscape supports out of the box. It is definitely possible given Inkscape's SVG file format though. I've managed put together a crude Python extension that does what I need. I plan on cleaning it up a bit, and then I will post some links to it here. Hopefully it will save other some pain!

comment How can I automate the process of cutting intricate shapes out of paper?
I have a MH-871 from US Cutter. It's a low-end machine, to be sure, but it will cut through thicker paper. I've used on folders to cut larger-sized shapes with acceptable results. You're not going to get fantastic quality on a cheap machine like this.
