I’m the UX + Tech Director at iQmultimedia; I work mostly on touch-screen kiosk systems for the mining industry.
My background is in graphic design, but I've spent some time as a professional web developer. I'm also a massive typography nerd.
You should follow me on Twitter and check out my usability presentation at Speaker Deck and on YouTube.

Photoshop “Save For Web” Color Shift problem You should also confirm that your original artwork is in RGB not CMYK. |

Photoshop “Save For Web” Color Shift problem Oh, so your issue is with colour, not transparency? Can you confirm that you're not using any layer blending modes other than "Normal"? As @Skaught says, the best solution is to upload your screenshots to Imgur manually and link to them in your question. |

Photoshop “Save For Web” Color Shift problem It's hard to understand your issue; you're saying the saved image isn't translucent at all? |

which colors do I use for zebra striping There is "some evidence":alistapart.com/articles/zebrastripingdoesithelp that zebra striping doesn't work or has at best a marginally positive effect. Worth a read at least. |

How to change a certain color to specific other color within an image? @Ghopper21 Edit > Fill… (shift+F5) to fill any selection with any colour. You can do it on a new layer to avoid destructive editing of the original too. |

Acorn - Creating Tiling Texture From Scratch? @lucase.62 …for instance you can make a linen texture with noise and the motion blur filter applied to two translucent layers in perpendicular directions. It wouldn't make sense for me to describe that for you unless you wanted a linen texture in the first place. |

Acorn - Creating Tiling Texture From Scratch? @lucase.62: The principle remains the same; produce your texture/artwork first, then make it repeating. You'll need to be more descriptive with what sort of texture you're trying to produce if you want step-by-step instructions. |
