Trying hard to be no longer a sys-admin. iPhone development is my current study. This includes all programming, UI and Graphic Design, marketing, etc.

Well precision is of high import to me. I think your advice of independent paths is the best way. Thanks.

comment Illustrator CS4: when I select an object with the Selection tool, and try and move it, it copies it instead.
As an longtime computer guy, I hate problems that are fixed by logging out. :)

Hmmm, coulda sworn I mentioned this earlier. OSX 10.6.6

If I option-drag the object, it copies it, as you'd expect.

I'm not sure what you mean. I tried getting into the layers panel, and option-dragging the layer callout there, and it simply didn't move, and nothing happened. When I simply dragged it, it pulled on outline which snapped back, since I have just one layer.

comment What is Minimalism in Graphic Design?
One of my favorite minimalist designs is the Mac/PC commercials. Two guys, on a blank stage, with occasional props. In fact, Apple stuff is often minimalist.

From the standpoint of a user used to having a wide screen, the 800px to 1200px wide idea is not one that makes me happy. Sometimes I really want you to cram down to 400px so I can look at a few things at once, in the case of an information site. Sometimes, I'd like to see as much of what's available at once, like in a music site where the artist has a lot out there. Other than that, I totally agree with your other points.
