Of course, but not everyone goes to the same school. All schools have different requirements. Sure you can say "You'll need a pencil and paper" (which, for the most part is universal), but that's incredibly straight-forward and not very helpful. When you attend a particular school, or more specifically take a particular class, your professor will usually outline what is required by that class in the syllabus or perhaps in some other form. It's not up to us to tell you what to get because we could be far from what your professor wants and you may end up wasting money.

I'm finding this question to be a bit too localized.

comment What font does Safe Host use for their logo?
No offense taken. Plainclothes' answer is much better suited and I'd prefer it to be the accepted answer. Best of luck on your project!

No need to mock my answer, I was just giving my input :). That being said Russell Square is a much better fit.

Te easiest solution is to merely find a texture and overlay it.

comment Specify inner glow the same way as Inner shadow?
I think you've got some pretty good solutions in there. May I ask why you're against rasterizing the effects? You can also duplicate the shape, apply another style and then turn the fill to 0%.

I'm having a tough time explaining this, I apologize.

In your first example the colors used were all shades of gray. In your second example your purple was made to look more blue through the use of a very bright purple. Then in your yellow example you're butting yellow of whites, grays, and blacks. So what I'm saying is you need to use yellows instead to make your yellow appear the same on different backgrounds.

You'll need to use yellows. Notice in your examples they used colors similar to the one they are trying to make look different.

I would just search stock sites or deviant art and try variants like "ink" in water or maybe "smoke"
