comment Tips for creating a mosaic of one photo from a set of photos
The thing is these types on program need those colors to work with, so if no green exists, then yeah, it'll look funny. I think you have some pretty good solutions yourself. I would try just generating it and then going black and white and seeing if that's any good.

I don't see how a letter won't get bigger when you bold it, as that's what bolding essentially is?

Genuine Fractals was bought by Perfect Resize (which I have tried!) :]

I agree with this 100% and this was my solution as well.

comment Live trace an semi-transparent image?
But since it's a raster mask won't it not scale like a vector? I need something that will scale.

comment Stop illustrator from rendering non-visible elements?
I don't know anything about smart guides. I'll have to look into it. Even if I hide all instances it still lags. I'm using CS5 for Windows 7.

"Public Domain" is the term for something that can be used for any purpose for free, without permission.

Just as a semantic question, can a gray-scale image be considered monochrome?

comment Removing One Part Of A Stroke On A Rectangle In Illustrator CS5
I don't think there's a native setting. You'd have to kind of hack it.

comment If I have a directory of JPEG's, how can I create one long stitched image?
When an image becomes too large you lose certain formats. What is the intended use for this image?

Then I would duplicate the number and give it a stroke.

comment How do I stop Illustrator from snapping to pixel increments?
You can manually move the object to that location. Using the arrow keys will result in a 1px change, meaning if you're working on a partial-pixel level, it will move further than you may want it to.

comment Feedback on my Company's Logo?
Can only reinforce what has already been said. Logo is too complicated (even the first one) and the font is too small and unreadable.

If you do a search here on this site related to logos you might find some insight on tips for building better logos. :]

comment Mockups: Coding vs Drawing?
I always get told "sketch your interface,if you do it in photoshop or whatever people will think you're further than you really are. Leave your mockups looking sketchy, just get the basics down so your client knows what to expect and then expand on your UI later."

comment Is there a way to imitate a pencil or pen in illustrator?
If you're looking for an effect similar to the Graphic Design logo on this website, I would go for using textures on top of your lines to create a more sketchy effect.
