comment How to remove edges from eliptical tool selection?
Maybe it would help if you posted this image with a background that wasn't white?

comment is there a pictogram for 'default' or 'leave like it is' - like there is for save (disc) or print (printer)?
This is also a very good recommendation.

comment What is the math behind gradient map in photoshop?
I'm voting to close this question as off-topic because it doesn't seem like a design question but rather a mathematical or programming question.

That's fine. Glad to hear I could help out.

comment Adobe Photoshop CS6 - How to resize image but keep text sharp
If the text is a text layer in Photoshop it will not get blurry on resize. If it's part of the image it will get blurrier just like the rest of the image.

comment Smoother shape animation
I guess I'm unsure with what you mean making it smoother, because it looks smooth to me. How would you qualify smoothness? And don't more frames / smaller steps make something smoother?

comment Which one is the best for creating android material icons?
I'll second AndrewH here. Illustrator is preferred with logos/icons because it is in a vector format that can be indefinitely scaled. Also wanted to clarify that Illustrator can CC be as well. CC stands for Creative Cloud and refers more to the version of the product rather than the product itself. In other words, if you have a Creative Cloud subscription you will be running both Illustrator CC and Photoshop CC.

comment does illustrator or photoshop change the dpi, ppi or alpha when using transparency?
The only effect I could imagine would be varying file sizes (negligible) and low/no support in versions of IE that you should not be supporting anyway (i.e below version 8). It will not impact resolution.

comment How to select a font color to go on a very busy background?
I would try adding a drop shadow or a stroke on the text to have it stand out. Alternatively, use a less busy background.

The linked page uses CSS3 and HTML5 for its animations -- technical knowledge required :)

comment Illustrator - Color settings
The color settings change to custom when you make adjustments, so can't you just switch back to "North America General Purpose 2" assuming that's the default on your machine? As far as workspaces go you can go to Window -> Workspace and click "Reset" on your current workspace.

comment Is it essential to type “WWW” when our design contains URL, or is it a matter of taste by now?
I'd love to hear more about the design aspect of this assuming both URLs work.

comment Should I design PSDs for Desktop, Tablet and Mobile separately in responsive design?
Yes, it does actual HTML and CSS and not just swap out PSD files.

I'm sure it just goes off of media queries. Or did I not understand the question?

@digijim You should post that as an answer, that's a really good call-out.
