comment Why are my corners “inside-out” in Illustrator?
Are you able to click on the path and invert the corner by rotating the handle?

comment Changing the colour space of a website - or some other way of getting vibrant colours
Divya Manian, could you please explain a bit more what we'll find behind the link you provide and why it answers the question? That way, your answer is still of value in case the link breaks at a later time. Link rot is the main reason we really dislike link-only answers here. Thanks for your effort and keep contributing!

comment What system do you use to name your logos?
Is 01110011011011010110100101110100011010000010000000110001.pdf descriptive enough though? I think, 01011001011011110111010101010010011001010110000101101100011011000111100101010111‌011001010110111001110100010101000110100001110010011011110111010101100111011010000‌101010001101000011001010100010101100110011001100110111101110010011101000100111101‌100110010101000111001001100001011011100111001101101100011000010111010001101001011‌011100110011101010100011010000110100101110011010000100110000101100011011010110101‌0100011011110100010101101110011001110110110001101001011100110110100000111111.pdf, is better.

50 shades of grey, huh?

comment When and why do I use “s”-shaped quotation marks?
Not seeing this on p. 36 at all :(. Anyways, I think this is an interesting question, but I wonder if it is relevant to GD at all. Even if it could be more universal, it's usage may still be contextual based on language and therefore I'd think this is more appropriate for EL&U.

comment Critique: Scrollable flyout nav menu
Not sure if it's been mentioned, but when I click the sub-menus, and things instantly move around, it's easy to "lose" something. I would encourage just a fast and simple expand/collapse animation so that your eye has something to follow. The abruptness really throws me off.

In 2014 this answer should probably be in favor of SVGs instead.

comment How to calculate the area of an irregular shape in Adobe Illustrator?
@Scott I've updated my answer. The script seems to work in CC as well. Not entirely sure on the accuracy as my math skills aren't too hot, but it seems to do the job.

comment How to calculate the area of an irregular shape in Adobe Illustrator?
@Scott, good to know. That was something I wasn't sure about and took for granted. I hope that my answer can still help anyone below CS6 and perhaps some of the other methods mentioned in the thread I linked to provide some sort of answer. Other than that I don't see another way of doing this.

comment What is the difference between “flat style” and “material design”?
@DA01, just want to point out that Microsoft's UI has not been named Metro since 2012. It is instead called "Microsoft design language" source. I realize that OPs question mentioned it by this name as well but that's incorrect.

Really not a fan of the nested "co" -- very hard to read.

comment Letter or A4: which is a more sensible default?
Exactly fits? No. But it will fit both, as if the width is less than A4 and height is less than letter then it will fit on both sizes.

comment How is it possible to use raster images on billboards at such large sizes?
I got an eye test one time and she said my vision was better than 20/20 though she didn't get me any exact numbers -- I should have asked. But that's the day I learned you can have vision better than 20/20. Hawks have 20/2 vision!

Even so, being familiar with the tools provided is beneficial. While it never matters how you get the job done certain people may not be aware of certain methods and may be creating more work for themselves than need be. You need to know the tools to know which tool is best for the job.
