comment Help! Layout Size 1/2" = 1'
What are you guys printing that requires that size and that dpi? Even billboards aren't made this large.

comment Export photoshop layers to individual PNG files - batch process?
Did you use the first method? if so, make sure you uncheck 'trim layers'. The second method does not crop images AFAIK.

My guess is that the post maybe came off a bit spammy.

What about the history brush wasn't giving you the results you wanted? Also I recommend you look into layer masks.

comment Is there a way (without dragging) to move layer into specific group in Photoshop?
Not sure what you're working with, but it sounds like you should split your PSD so that you're not working with so many layers.

comment How to extend the background of an image?
And that may be, depends on if they want to preserve the original background or not. I didn't vote you down, but I figured I might provide a comment as to why I think you may have been voted down.

Honestly I wouldn't use puppet warp for animation, at least not for what you need it for. While I unfortunately cannot offer you any good alternatives, as I'm not an animator, I am familiar with puppet warp and that just seems like the last thing I'd want to use for it.

Hey rangi, while this is great advice for extracting a subject and adding a new background, OP is asking on how to extend an existing background.

comment Large printing project requires image size reduction?
Dimension-wise it looks like you're scaling down.... which means you'd have a higher DPI than before.

Hello Asim Raze Khan, could you expand your answer with quotes from the article or other instructions? Link only answers are not well recieved on Stack Exchange websites as the linked page may not exist in the future.

comment How to crop into a new document with Photoshop?
It sounds like you already have your answer in the form of a workaround. But to be very clear, the answer to your question ("Is this possible the way I want?") is "No."

comment What pixel width should a designer use for the PSD, given the pixel width of the website?
The design ideally should work at various resolutions. The rule of thumb we follow is that designs are provided at our minimum support desktop resolution (1024x768) and then any size over that just expands naturally. For resolutions smaller than that we do different designs.

comment Legibility of familiar fonts vs. typical considerations for typeface legibility
As you seem to acknowledge yourself, what makes a font good is not how familiar or widespread it may be, but rather the quality of the font itself. A good font will be legible no matter how unfamilar, though a 'good' font is still rather broad as it may change per use case.

Why wouldn't you just use an 11x17 document if that's your intent?

comment Creating a desktop wallpaper for any resolution
You could have a background that's just the logo on a solid color background, and then different resolutions would simply have more or less white-space. You could also create an image, and then change your computer's resolution to test it using different settings and see if that works for you.

comment Preventing adding up of colors for multiple brush strokes
@SirKurt, Naty is 100% right here. Just change the layer's opacity, not the brush's opacity. If you're using tablet pressure to determine opacity, instead use the pressure to determine color and then lower the overall opacity and it will create the same effect without causing the issue you're mentioning.
