comment In Indesign, how do I set the top margin of a page following a page break (chapter)?
I came to a similar conclusion, where I would tell the title style to break the page flow (Keep Options > Start Paragraph > On Next Page), then put some space below (like you are doing it) and then set Advanced Character Formats > Baseline shift to the same value as space below times -1. But to me this is a terrible hack. How disappointing that indesign forces one to work that way for something so simple.

Ok, seems like a sensible compromise. If @Scott cares to make it an answer, I'd accept it.

I could, still this does not seem to me as how it should be done... Maybe I am wrong

comment Tint a layer (or a group of objects) in illustrator
I applied the appearance to the group an not the individual objects, so I can manage all of it in one place. :D

That is a possibility... if the tint color is set to some global color one could even play with this value (which is important, because if I knew exactly which colors I wanted in advance, I would not need that at all). It would probably be a drag to change blending mode and opacity. I'll try that out...

comment How to create a geometric pattern stroke in Illustrator (with some constraints)?
Now one corner element is longer than all others. This breaks the intended visual appearance. I start to think, that this is simply not possible in illustrator (which is weird because of the supposedly simple nature of the stroke).

Now the line (not corner) part will not fit as I will get top-bottom-top|top-bottom-top...
