Making a tall texture more realistic with colours affected by light-direction ond visitors' position? @horatio that is very clever, I tried interpolation methods such as Gouraud shading but your suggestions excellent +1. Also a puzzle I am trying to solve is to convolve along the connecting line between ends to make it look more fit, novel binarize/level-determination/convolving errorsome so there may be some state of art solution from comp graphics... |

Git-style Managing for Graphics/Programming Assets on Filesystem level? ...makes sanse +1, never too late to improve! "We can do better. We have to do better." Integration to Github, Dropbox, etc, fascinating service, thank you. How do you design your repository if you integrate it with your other developer repos? Do you use git-submodule for graphics assets that other devs can clone? Or public branch and stable branch separate where programmers have only access to the public branch while designers have access to both stable and public branches? |

Textures for city facade design such as roofs and walls? Suppose I wanted to somehow specify the light source for example to come from bottom, is there some filter to adjust the light like with some 3D software? |

How can I automate the process of cutting intricate shapes out of paper? Found something called Alter XY-plotter/CNC laser with 1W violet laser, then investigated different modules here -- huge price-differences, industrial lasers to cut paper looks pretty expensive when just one bought. Doing the laser-cutter may become quite expensive... |

How can I automate the process of cutting intricate shapes out of paper? The laser itself may not cost much, example here. There may be some hobbyist laser-cutter projects for paper...I have no clue yet whether feasible: how much energy does laser-cutter for paper require? Perhaps easiest to book laser-cutter times in campus... |

How can I automate the process of cutting intricate shapes out of paper? What are home-size-budget alternatives? My campus has some of them but distant scheduled workstations, some small office cutter could be useful. eBay returned large machines with the word "laser cutter". I wish there was something I could carry. It is hard to see from the picture-video the size of the cutter. |
