comment Is there a quick way to prep an illustrator file with tons of strokes and fills for screen printing
@Blake is asking about screen printing so I would assume it's white and green on a blue surface.

Let's just call it OCR-A and move one ;)

comment Is the OCR-A sans-serif?
Because monospace invites such heavy distortion it is often treated independently. Some faces manage to pull it off with a pretty good imitation of true sans or serif, but not here. Those are slab serifs, BTW, not to be confused with cross bars seen on t and f.

The answer is: don't bother labeling it. There is a wide range of transformation you can apply to a color when you understand Albers' experiments. I'll dig up my copy and find a representative passage to reference.

comment Is it possible to have a page with a transparent background?
You can piece together a reasonable representation in InDesign. Not sure about Scribus. Any app with layers and layer blending can at least give you an indication. That's still better than designing on white :)

Unless you activate overprinting on the other layers. You have to be sure the printer knows what you're up to but, even a bad facsimile is better than looking at it on white.
