3D Revolve, but spaced out in a segment style in Illustrator I think Scott has the right idea. 1. Create your base shape. 2. Scale it for the other extreme. 3. Blend the two and adjust the steps until you're happy. 4. Use an x-axis flip to mirror the other side. |

Designing A Website from Scratch – Illustrator or Photoshop? On the topic of efficient image compression, I don't rely on any of Adobe's apps. Try something like ImageOptim, a Mac app. There are other local and web-based solutions. You'll get much smaller graphics, in some cases. |

File backups for Photoshop Saving a version with every 'save' is going to eat your disk space alive. Version control is the way to go, but it does require an extra step of committing the latest version. The upside is that you only have entries for truly new versions and the saved instances are incremental file changes, not whole files (ie, much less space). I commented in the aforementioned post with my preferences. |

Coding a website design , which is better from PSD (Adobe photoshop) or EPS ( Adobe illustrator )? Fireworks is great but it doesn't seem to have much of a future at Adobe. I really wish they would have spent more time developing it than that silly Dreamweaver thing. Oh well. They bought it to kill it, if you ask me. |

What font does Safe Host use for their logo? hmmmm ... that higher resolution image makes it clear that this may be more than a modded Russell. Using it as a base, however, I don't think extending some bezier handles from those hard corners would be too challenging. |
