Creating a schematic diagram of an experiment As for the saving, you can save it to 3d formats or 2D formats such as .png, .jpg and a few others. |

Creating a schematic diagram of an experiment If you're willing to use 3D for this, Google Sketchup is an easy-to-use 3D modelling program, particularly useful for creating constructions such as these. Anyone can learn to use it in a couple of hours, so you might want to give it a shot. It doesn't match your third criterium, but it does match the first two perfectly. |

What’s the difference between an art director and a creative director? Great answer! The required degree and salary you mention under 'Education and pay', does of course depend on the country. I assume you specifically refer to the USA here. |

What computer hardware matters to a graphic designer? I see, thanks for clarifying. |

What computer hardware matters to a graphic designer? I would like to make a small comment on your suggestion not to buy hardware from Apple itself. Don't Apple computers have good performance because of the hardware compatibility between all the different pieces of hardware? That's what I've been told anyway. Because all of the hardware is made by Apple (opposed to a bunch of assembled pieces from different manufacturers in a Win computer), the performance of the hardware is at its best. Logically, you do pay dearly for that extra performance. |

Photoshop hand tool zooms out randomly Thanks for the clarification. I just hope Adobe will fix this in the next version of PS (and InDesign). |

Flash CS6 How to create 3D extruded text? Are you willing to use/try Actionscript snippets? Or do you only want to do it in the Flash IDE? |

Photoshop hand tool zooms out randomly I tried your solution though, but it doesn't ask for a reset?! |

Photoshop hand tool zooms out randomly Thanks, however I'm pretty sure it's a feature rather than a bug. This is because no other zoom or pan tool shows a rectangle that shows what part you were originally were zoomed to. |

Why do elements sometimes come out messy? What I mean is: Let's say its not completely sharp on either side of the line (basically the same thing what you show in the picture), you can make it completely sharp by zooming in to the max, then transforming it so the vector mask line is exactly on the edge of the pixel. |

How to produce a blurred abstract background like this? Like the others show, it's really just strongly blurred image. Create a gradient, then use a (gaussian, most likely) blur. That's it. |

Why do elements sometimes come out messy? When you have a 100% horizontal line though, you may still see a line above it with less alpha, to get rid of this just zoom in as much as possible then Ctrl+T and drag the line to the exact right line so it is exactly 1 pixel of height. |

Why do elements sometimes come out messy? @Zak833 I think plainclothes means that the line isn't 100% horizontal, which I at least am pretty sure of that's the case. When drawing a horizontal line, you can hold shift so it doesnt stray off. |
