comment Align circles in diagonal corners
That's not how it works. You make a guide to create a shape, not add the guide later. That't why it fits perfectly, because it was there to help create the shape.

comment Why is the asset I make in Sketch 3 slightly blurred?
In this specific case that you should make the assets separately in each resolution you are using them in. But "pixel-perfect" is a term you should search on this site or google as it it way too broad for one comment to explain.

then you should make the asset pixel-perfect for each resolution.

No that would have the same result. You should reconsider your concept. If you MUST have 1px retina assets then you should make the asset pixel-perfect for each resolution.

comment How can we talk about the “resolution” of a JPEG file?
Sort of, but why would that constitute a file has a resolution? It is simply displayed at a certain amount of pixel per physical length.

comment Rotate position with Photoshop animate
A quick fix: make the segment a smart object as big as the background, e.g. by adding an invisible layer when creating the smart object. Then foreground and background have the same center.

comment How can 120*160mm be a “landscape” format?
I have actually read the opposite as well "always give the bigger number first" but as with all the other conventions I see no real point in it.

As I found out, there is more than one convention. This will take some research.

comment How to create a template for UI elements?
I am pretty convinced that this simply means to make empty buttons and forms, unlike the labeled ones in a mockup. And perhaps, as shown in the screenshot, save them separately from the mockup PSD.

No, your client simply didn't put width before height. Simply a common error.

Why not paste if from Illustrator into Photoshop instead of recreating it?

comment Solidworks: Is it possible to export assembly as vector PDF file? (or EPS?)
Havent used SolidWorks in a few years but the workflow used to be: create a drawing from the different views (afaik this also works with perspective) and then export to pdf rather than directly from solidworks. Requires a bit of cleanup on the lines but basically works.

You should maybe take a look at the iOS Guidelines: developer.apple.com/library/ios/documentation/UserExperience/…

comment How do I italicize fonts that don't have an italic variant in Illustrator?
Impact Italic does not exist to my knowledge. But your use of "italicize" implies that you are used to Microsoft Word, which automatically slats every font, which is not recommended at all.

comment What's the height of the iPhone 6+' navigation bar?
No, it should be 44@3x, not 88px.

Because it's hip to do so of late. Just google "hipster logo".

comment Optimal font color on #fff body (esp. mobile, web fonts)
I think there is no definitive answer to this. As you have stated, you have your own opinion what looks good. and it will depend on the font and on the context. Higher contrast has it's benefits and downsides and the same goes for low contrast. So "optimal" only exists in a context of a specific use-case.

comment Should I upconvert low-res images to 300dpi for printing?
"The problem with this is many of the images will then be much smaller than their target print size." This is why there is a warning. While that is the correct method, it shows you that the material you have is maybe not suitable for print.

You don't lose quality, the quality stays exactly the same. And there is no work around either as you can only show the information/pixels you have.
