I´m not so sure about 2 and 3, while I agree that it´s hard to extend these kind of pages, you can still have a content navigation and share content with an internal anchor. But again, you mostly see these pages as microsites for projects or a presentation for agencies, so I think it is desired to start at the top and go down from there.

@DA01: that is hardly an objective comment ;) Scrolling is seen as the easiest way to navigate through content.

or maybe it´s just what you think it means because we learned it that way :) If I´ve learned one thing in design school then it´s that nothing is at it seems :D not literally of course. Anyway I can´t find a proper description for these things, maybe I´ll find something in my old school-documents! Now you´ve got me interested in what they´re called :)

Text containing shapes. You don´t mean a sign or signet?

Oh now that I see the links you´re right. I typed in COPPERFIELD in the selection part of google webfonts. Try it and you´ll see that they have their characteristics.

Can you show us a screenshot? I would go out on a limb and say that there are better fonts to use (I don´t really like copperplate :) ) But I´ll look for an alternative anyway.

@wanting252 PNG is used everywhere on the web, I don´t know what I´d do without it ;) But of course for photos I also use jpg with quality at 60, since you don´t have transparency.

If it´s only Text without effects (i.e. just white text on black background) Gif is good and really small in size.

PNG is lossless but also quite big. Where do you use this image? If it´s for the web, it´s always better to code the text.

comment How do I create a worn/distressed effect in Photoshop?
Making the pictures yourself is always the best idea, not only for copyright stuff, but also for control because you can decide what you get but yeah, the laziness wins most of the time, unfortunately :D

I think you could protect yourself with a disclaimer like "any similarities to real persons are not intended" so you could always say that they misinterpret your game.
