Exporting groups of layers from a PSD to a single PNG file using Photoshop The difficulty of all the answers relative to just using Fireworks in the first place makes it really obviouls what a mistake Adobe has made discontinuing FW. |

What is the best way to save an image to a publication that will allow you to zoom in to greater detail What about embedding a swf? |

Fireworks CS6: easy way to adjust values like in Photoshop? You just type the value you want. For some reason, Adobe didn't implement this the same way as other tools, but when you get used to how much more productive you'll be with digital graphics in FW, you honestly won't miss it. |

Paste in place leave gaps in Photoshop Another alternative is not to cut the pixels, but sumply to copy them. Then the area where they were won't be filled with white. Instead, it will just be filled with the original pixels. |

Coding a website design , which is better from PSD (Adobe photoshop) or EPS ( Adobe illustrator )? Fireworks offers native vector editing and non-distructive editing of source bitmaps (if you know what you're doing). The exported files (pngs, css, etc.) will be light in weight anyway, but Fireworks pngs usually aren't that big as long as you're not working with an image that's far bigger than what you need. In that case, I would recommend a destructive downsample. It's not like you're overwriting the original. |

Coding a website design , which is better from PSD (Adobe photoshop) or EPS ( Adobe illustrator )? @ahmed, designing for a fixed pixel-width is a thing of the past. Devices can be anywhere from 300 px wide (or less) to several thousands. |

How do deal with frontend developers remotely +1Too many designers have no idea how much work can be added or avoided on the developer's end based on how the designer provides the graphics. |

How do deal with frontend developers remotely Hm, if you send a developer JPGs and they actually need to build something functional from it, they'll have to recreate it from scratch in something that will give them usable pieces. Pngs are much more friendly for most types of projects. |

How to align & distribute anchor points in a path in Flash CS6? You can create half the shape and then overlap the ends. In Flash, this will make them join to form a single line. |

Get rid of step gradient Have you tried just filling a rectangle with a native Flash gradient? |

How to align & distribute anchor points in a path in Flash CS6? The only vector tool I've ever seen that allowed this was CorelDraw. I think the closest you'll get is either dragging out guidelines or turning on and snapping to the grid. |

Flash CS6 - how to replace a playing card index (i.e. how to type into same bounding box)? You can also click the color swatch on one or both of the layers to make them outlines. That is sometimes helpful. |

Flash CS6 - how to replace a playing card index (i.e. how to type into same bounding box)? You can select the character, then click the font size and use the up and down arrows until the new letter is the same size as the old letter. I think if you just make it static text, it will embed and allow you to rotate it. You can also break the text apart in Flash (since you have already done the work to import the graphics). |

How much effort should I put in to optimizing (cutting up) images for the web? Also note that Fireworks will create the CSS for you and export it to a separate style sheet or copy it to clipboard. |
