How flatten transparency without rasterization? @stephencosh Good idea! It is necessary to save a .cdr file in a format of older version of CorelDraw for opening it in Illustrator CS6. I am not sure which highest supported version though. |

How flatten transparency without rasterization? @Ryan I have not tried to open CDR in Illustrator but saving it from CorelDraw to CDR does not allow to flatten transparency. |

How flatten transparency without rasterization? I have solid fills with simple forms but there are too many objects to try to flatten them by hands. I need an automatic solution. |

Clearly distinguishable colours for scientific figures Such colorspace can be found only by taking smart and large-scale experiment on human color perception and the set of colors obviously will depend on the color of background and even on how the color will be reproduced: by paper or by monitor and how... |

Clearly distinguishable colours for scientific figures @Szabolcs I think that every of three questions you mentioned is hard enough and deserves to be separate although they are deeply connected inherently. I spend some time thinking on this but just found the real scale of the problem: it requires the true perceptual colorspace. |

Large color set for coloring of many datasets on a plot @e100 In other words, colors are used here to indicate group membership. |

Large color set for coloring of many datasets on a plot @e100 In this particular case different sets of points represent different generations of populations. If they will be indistinguishable it will not be possible to see the common pattern: every generation tends to have 1-2 most frequent genotypes (in this particular model). |
