InDesign: Resetting character style after end of paragraph Indeed it seems to work on yours, a bug maybe? I'm using CS5.5. Anyway, could you explain the GREP syntax you are using? Thanks for the support. |

InDesign: Resetting character style after end of paragraph I'm using the TAB character now to switch styles, this seems to work: \t[^\t]*\t? . But this does not: \t* |

InDesign: Resetting character style after end of paragraph Ok, I'm using this formula now: link But the first time I use the NB-space I get the second style in the GREP stack, if I use the NB-space again I go back to None. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for the patience. |

InDesign: Resetting character style after end of paragraph Is there a way to map a character insertion to another keyboard shortcut? |

InDesign: Resetting character style after end of paragraph The above is especially true if you consider that I am copy/pasting external bits of text in the document which would overwrite the ENS character in memory. |

InDesign: Resetting character style after end of paragraph I have a bullet paragraph style selected and None as character style. I type the first part of the bullet point in None style, when I get to the point where I need to write in cyan I do CTRL+Return+CyanStyleName and I type, next comes the magenta text: I hit CTRL+Return+MagentaStyleName again and I type. Then comes a paragraph break. After the paragraph break I hit CTRL+Return+None and I go on typing the next bullet. The only workaround to avoid using quick apply every time is to make a few bullet point paragraphs in advance, which is quicker than copy pasting ENS every time I end a style. |

InDesign: Resetting character style after end of paragraph Here's what the docs say about the ENS character: "to insert this character, choose Type > Insert Special Character > Other > End Nested Style Here". Wouldn't this be as time consuming as hitting CTRL+return+None? I was looking for a method that allowed style resetting after the end of paragraph. What about making the End of Paragraph symbol the end of the nested style? Is that possible? |

InDesign: Resetting character style after end of paragraph I have tried adding the GREP style to my numbered bullet style, but it doesn't seem to have the expected effect, in fact it seems to have no effect at all. Now, I must admit I've never used GREP styles before so I might be doing something wrong. I didn't understand the part where you say: "If you feel more comfortable with any other character", isn't this ~h character specifically intended to end a nested style? |
