Commonmark migration
Apr 8, 2018 at 17:12 comment added RomuloPBenedetti Yes, I expanded a bit about color models, anyway I believe he is confused about the fact what he see in the monitor, as if it was the real totality of this luminance chromaticity.

Apr 8, 2018 at 14:06 comment added RomuloPBenedetti this is a hypothetical image to help in understanding, honestly the TRUE color space is 3D don't you see? x y z, RGB...
Apr 8, 2018 at 14:05 comment added DilithiumMatrix Sure. But I don't think it matters where exactly the triangle is (or what exact colors it includes), I'm just confused about the fact that the entire area here is larger than the triangle, but still the monitor (any monitor) is drawing colors in it.

Apr 8, 2018 at 13:48 comment added RomuloPBenedetti Each monitor has sub-pixels with substances and characteristics that defines where the 3 pointos of this triangle for the specific monitor are. This is the problem, We can't be sure, depends on the specific model native color space, what we can say is how well they map, knowing its native color space, to known popular RGB color spaces
Apr 8, 2018 at 13:37 comment added DilithiumMatrix Thanks for the answer. What you're saying makes sense, but doesn't answer what is being plotted in images like the given example.
