SVG font file appears blank in illustratorIllustrator

I have an illustratorIllustrator file which you can download from here: https://github.com/aristath/elusive-iconfont/blob/master/font/Elusive-Icons.svghere.

However Illustrator CS6 seems to open the file as being totally empty. Is there something wrong with the file? perhapsPerhaps something I can edit before opening. Or is this just another bug with dealing with SVG in Illustrator?
