The change in outline shape needed by the increased resolution not so much. Anyway there's no reason why the interpolation has to be one axis. After all the same technology is used for human facial animation too and its far more complicated and has less room for errors. But yes it would be a lot of work to do it properly and there's really no need to have all those intermediate forms so its not done. | |
