The one advantage 'we' have over the 'Indians' is that we are deeply familiar with English culture. If you've yet to even master the language, what do you have to offer over an Indian at half the price?

I have suggested above: find small-ish projects locally, and build up a portfolio. It will be tough, but is to my mind the most sustainable path.
