I am creating an icon font, using https://icomoon.io/

It works like this: create icons as vector. Export as SVGs. Load into icomoon. Export as code.

Now, last time I did this was 2.5yrs ago. I can't recall if my original set of icons in Illustrator, need to be round pixel values (no decimals)?

I know if I want to export icons as PNGs, and supply to dev to hard code, icons need to be whole pixel values.

Thank you kindly for your help.

This question came from our site for user experience researchers and experts.

  • It depends on how pixel perfect you need them to be and if you know what sizes they'll be used at. In most cases, no, you don't need to align them to the pixel grid – Zach Saucier Jan 24 at 16:38
