I’m after some advice/help for native Ai function which can replicate the keystone correction effect:
CURRENT KEYSTONE PROCESS Ai CS3 USING PLUGIN • New Ai doc • Set point of origin (0x 0y) • Graphic placed at scale 1:10 or 1:100 (0x 0y) • Write editable text “Projector” and position anchor point to (0x 0y) • Select Projector text • Object > Transform > Move, and type 100mm into Vertical field in the dialogue (in this example, +Y offset 1:10) • Select graphic and Projector text • Navigate to Keystone Filter • Type in dimensions to dialogue box, OK.
@ Billy Kerr llustrator's 3D effect has always been "best guess" and has never really been anywhere close to real 3D. Real 3d bases extrusion and perspective on the camera or view angle. Illustrator bases extrusion and perspective on the object and the center of its front plane.
@ GerardFalla, default setups cannot be predetermined, as the lantern can be positioned anywhere XYZ offsets, as per clients request.
